grocery list, week 1
I’m one of those people who has to shop with a grocery list. I get picked on (affectionately) at our farmer’s market for it; I’m not sure if they just don’t see many folks with lists out there or what, but if I don’t have a list, we will forget something (and something vital, like cheese for the tacos, or coffee) and have to go back out later on in the week, and if there’s anything that will make cooking at home all the time seem like a drag, and make take-out start to look good, it’s having to go to the grocery 5 times in one week. So, our list:
- milk
- eggs
- sausage
- country ham
- tomatos (4)
- cucumbers (2 if big, 4 to 5 if small)
- potatoes (lots)
- cheese: vintage, marble, muenster
- ground beef
- garlic
- fruit
- flour
- lettuce
- green vegetable (spinach, zucchini, whatever looks good)
- cream cheese (we may have to go to Harris Teeter for this; I’m not sure I’ve ever seen cream cheese in Deep Roots)
- vanilla
- green onions
- sugar
- oats
- coffee
- olive oil
